Mini Bakes grew directly from its global online community. As millions of viewers discovered my hands-only miniature cooking videos, their recipe requests and playful questions sparked ideas for a wider miniature world. I had always appeared through only my hands and voice, Mini was created as my on-screen avatar...
Having always appeared through only my hands and voice, I created Mini as my on-screen avatar—a character who could finally step inside the miniature kitchen my audience had never seen me enter.
Inspired partly by my cat’s personality and curiosity, Mini gradually became more than an avatar. She developed into a character in her own right, connecting the recipes, stories and creativity of the kitchen with viewers around the world.
From her bread-bin house, Mini and her friends travel through a magical donut portal before parachuting into new countries, where they discover food, music, language and culture through playful adventures.
Mini’s wider world gradually took shape through our drawings, ideas and storytelling—creating a colourful foundation for journeys filled with curiosity, friendship and discovery.
FROM 2D TO 3D
Mini was then developed from her original 2D design into a 3D character. She was rigged and animated, allowing her to take her first step towards entering her own world.
I created the story structure, characters, scripts and song lyrics, and shaped the environments, music and action. The result is not intended as a finished production blueprint, but as a visual starting point that can evolve with the right development and production partners.

Bridging animation and real miniature cooking
Each animated adventure can connect back to the real My Mini Bakes kitchen through Live at 5.55—a short, hands-only miniature-cooking segment watched by Mini and her friends within the story.
It creates a playful bridge between the proposed animated series and the existing social media channel, encouraging children and families to explore food and creativity together.
