Mini Bakes grew directly from its global online community. As millions of viewers discovered my hands-only miniature cooking videos, their recipe requests and playful questions—such as “Where do your tiny eggs come from?”—sparked ideas for a wider miniature world.

I had always appeared through only my hands and voice, Mini was created as my on-screen avatar ...

I had a full story in my head and together with the help of my husband we developed Mini’s story together on paper, imagining her bread-bin home, animal friends and a magical donut portal through which she explores countries, cultures, food, language and shapes—recapping each adventure through song and dance.

From the bread-bin house and magical donut portal to journeys through food, music and different cultures, the wider Mini Bakes world gradually took shape—created through our drawings, ideas, lives and storytelling.

With Mini’s 3D character in place, the emergence of AI-assisted creative tools allowed me to communicate my vision in a more visual way and assemble an early proof of concept. I wrote the story structure, scripts and song lyrics, and creatively directed the environments, music and action. It is not intended as a finished production blueprint, but as a starting point

Mini’s animated kitchen mirrors the real My Mini Bakes kitchen, creating a recognisable connection between the two worlds. Each adventure can link back through Live at 5.55—a short, hands-only miniature cooking segment watched by Mini and her friends within the story. This creates a playful bridge between the animated series and the real-world channel, encouraging families to explore food and creativity together.

From social to screen, to real-world making and play—and back again.

The proposed animated series sits at the heart of a connected Mini Bakes world. Children discover Mini through her adventures, while families can continue the experience through real miniature cooking, creative activities, products and shared moments across the existing My Mini Bakes channels. Each part of the ecosystem inspires the next—helping Mini’s world grow both on and beyond the screen.

Mini’s world offers natural opportunities for future products, including miniature baking kits, playsets, character figures, books and creative activity ranges.

The baking kits could be used within the existing My Mini Bakes channel for miniature cook-alongs, unboxings and collaborations with other creators—connecting what is trending on screen with what families are discovering and sharing on social media.
